The Voice of Holland 2024: Overview
- There is a search for a beautiful mesmerizing voice in this show.
- Several applicants appear for the auditions of this show but only some of them get the chance to be a contestant in this show.
- After passing all the hurdles, the Top 8 contestants are finally chosen and compete against each other to be the Winner of the show.
Format of the Show:
The series consists of three phases:
Blind Audition:
- Firstly, the candidates are required to audition so as to become a contestant in this show. These auditions are called as Blind Auditions
- In this, the participants were on the basis of their voices.
- Blind auditions here mean that the judges cannot see the participants. They are just able to listen to the participants’ voices.
- Four judges choose teams of contestants through this process.
- Each judge is given the participant’s performance of about 1 minute in which he/she has to decide whether to select the participant or not.
- If the judges of the show want the same contestant in their team which happens frequently, then the contestant is given the choice to select a judge of his/her choice.
A battle phase:
After the Blind Auditions, A Battle phase starts in which the contestants are shortlisted to become a contestant in the show of The Voice. The rest of the applicants are rejected and sent to their homes. In this phase, Judges have 2 of their team members competing against each other directly by singing the same song together. Then the Team Judge chooses which team member to advance and the go-ahead from each of the 4 individual “battles” into the 1st live round. Within that 1st live round, the surviving contestants from each team again compete head-to-head. Here the combination of public & jury votes decides who advances to the next round.
Live performance shows:
Finally, after getting chosen as contestants in this show, the live performance takes place where the Top 8 contestants perform live. They sing songs and ask for votes from the public. Then at the finish of each episode, a contestant is eliminated. This goes on until the end of the season. A winner is chosen in the end through the combined votes of Judges and Public.
