How does Only Connect Show work?
The show features teams of three from all over the UK pitting themselves against each other to win the coveted trophy. Knowledge alone has its limits, but patience and lateral thinking are also important. It’s about making connections between things that at first glance seem completely unconnected.
In the first round of the quiz competition, teams must figure out what connects four clues that are revealed one after the other. The fewer clues your team needs to unravel the relationship, the more points you earn.
In Round 2 works similarly, but all the cues form a sequence. Teams must correctly identify the final clue in the sequence instead of finding a connection and earning points.
In Round 3, each team faces a “connection wall” made up of his 16 seemingly random clues. Teams must correctly divide the clues into four groups of four within a time limit. And the last round is missing vowels. Teams are assigned categories with vowels removed and associated cues. Teams must join as quickly as possible to guess the clues accurately. At the end of each game, the team with the highest score advances to the competition.
